Architectural-grade hardwood stair treads, made to your exact run — with a machined nosing profile, finished returns for open sides and a laminated build-up front edge. Configured online and cut to your dimensions.

Every tread is drawn to your staircase’s exact conditions — a single open-sided tread or a full flight. Length, depth, return style, nosing profile and build-up front are captured as a spec drawing, so what you receive matches your stringers and risers.
Guided steps: length, width, material, thickness and edge profile — with a live drawing at every step.
Your configuration is reviewed and a firm quote comes back within one business day, with drawings for approval.
Made to your exact dimensions and shipped ready to install.
Three measurements cover most treads. When in doubt, send a photo with your rough numbers and we’ll confirm the drawing before anything is cut.
Measure the full width the tread spans — wall to wall for a closed staircase, or include the finished return on any open side.
Measure front to back, from the nosing edge to the back of the tread where it meets the riser.
Note which ends are open. An open end gets a finished return that wraps the nosing; an end that butts a wall is left square.
Solid hardwood — walnut, white oak, hard maple and cherry — made to order in your chosen length, depth, nosing profile and finish, with a durable, moisture-resistant top coat.
Measure the full length the tread spans (including any finished return on an open side), and the depth from the nosing to the back edge. Note which ends are open. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live drawing to confirm the geometry.
On an open-sided staircase the finished nosing wraps around the exposed end of the tread — that wrapped, finished cap is the return. Treads can have a return on the left end, the right end, both ends, or none for a fully closed staircase.
Eased, bevel, bullnose, cove, ogee and Roman ogee — machined into the front nosing, on the top arris, bottom arris or both, with an optional laminated build-up to thicken the front edge.
Every tread is made to your exact dimensions, accurate to ±0.5mm.
