What is Architects Corner?
Architects Corner is a made-to-measure fabrication hub — you configure custom architectural millwork (countertops, window sills, vanity and workspace tops, formed sinks, thresholds and more) to your exact dimensions, and we return a firm quote and shop drawing.
How does pricing work?
Every configurator shows a live estimate as you build. When you submit, we confirm a firm quote — typically within one business day.
What materials are available?
Corian® solid surface — seamless, non-porous and repairable. See the Materials page for the full color range.
How accurate are the finished pieces?
Every piece is fabricated to your exact dimensions, cut to machine accuracy.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes — every piece is made to order and shipped nationwide across the United States.
What are custom countertops made from?
Corian® solid surface — a non-porous material that never needs sealing, joins invisibly and is repairable, because the color runs through the full thickness. Cut from 12mm sheet with a 2″ build-up behind the front edge for a 1-1/2″ finished edge.
How do I measure for a countertop?
Measure the run for length, the depth front to back, and note which sides meet a wall. Order wall-to-wall and the length is reduced 1/16″ per side so the piece drops in without scribing.
Can I have an undermount sink?
Yes. Six Corian® lavatory bowls, moulded in four colors and matched to the sheet range so a sink can be seamed to a top of the same name. The top is cut to the bowl opening and the flange is bonded beneath the deck, so nothing interrupts the surface.
What edge profiles are available?
Eased, bevel, radius, cove, ogee and Roman ogee — machined into the front edge, and you choose which edges carry the treatment and whether it wraps the exposed corners.
Is the backsplash attached?
No. Backsplash runs are cut from the same sheet, ship loose and are fixed to the wall on site, floating clear of the top with a caulked reveal. Every run is dimensioned separately on the spec sheet.
How precise are the finished dimensions?
Every countertop is made to your exact dimensions, cut to machine accuracy.
What is the 5315 Baby Bath?
A Corian® healthcare lavatory from the Care Collection, made for bathing newborns: 24″ × 14″ overall, 22-1/2″ × 12-1/2″ inside, 6-1/8″ deep, with a 1-3/4″ drain at the deep end and an integral left-side overflow as standard.
Is the bath part of the countertop?
Yes. It is integrated into the top — bonded and finished with no rim and no sealant line, so there is no joint to harbour bacteria. Every top in this configurator carries one.
What colors does the bath come in?
Glacier White, Cameo White, Bone and Bisque — color- and translucency-matched to sheet of the same name for a continuous appearance.
Is it suitable for clinical settings?
Corian® solid surface is non-porous and, with proper cleaning, resists mold, mildew and stains. The 5315 complies with CSA B45.5/IAPMO Z124, and Corian® plumbing products are UL-listed to the Uniform and International Plumbing Codes.
How big does the countertop need to be?
At least 30″ long and 21″ deep to take the bath and its clearances; any length to 144″ beyond that.
What are the partitions made from?
Corian® solid surface — non-porous, so it never needs sealing and cleans with ordinary washroom products. Scratches and marks can be sanded out.
How are they mounted?
On stainless steel U-brackets screwed to the wall — one for every 12″ of the panel's wall edge, so three on a standard 36″ panel — each clamping the edge between two fins and through-bolted. The panel stands off the wall with no floor support.
What sizes can you make?
Any projection from 12″ to 36″ and any height from 24″ to 60″. The standard is 24″ by 36″ in a 1/2″ panel; 3/4″ and 1″ are available.
Can the panel be two colors?
Yes. Borders, pinstripes, a centre panel, runners, stripes or a split, inlaid right through the panel, so both faces and the edges show the pattern.
What are custom tables made from?
Corian® solid surface — a non-porous material that never needs sealing, joins invisibly and is repairable, because the color runs through the full thickness. Cut from 12mm sheet with a 2″ build-up behind the front edge for a 1-1/2″ finished edge.
How do I measure for a table?
Length and depth for the top, and the height the table is for — dining, counter or bar. The top is the same piece either way; the height goes on the drawing so the base is made to match. Any length to 144″ in one piece.
What is a custom shower base made from?
Half-inch solid surface over a structural foam core — the same non-porous material as the wall panels, so the base, the walls and the niche can all be specified in one finish.
What shapes can the pan be?
Six: single/alcove, corner, left return, right return, neo-angle, neo-extended and neo-round. Each is drawn live as you set your dimensions, with the threshold following whichever edges you open.
What entry options are there?
A standard 3-inch threshold, a ramped entry with a capped foam ramp, a flush pan recessed level into the floor, or fully enclosed with walls on every side and no entry at all.
How is the drain positioned?
Anywhere you need it. Drain dimensions are taken from the outside of the flange to the centre of the drain hole, and the pan falls to it at 2 percent — roughly a quarter inch per foot.
Can the corners be coved?
Yes. Coved corners give a softened radius where the floor meets the wall; squared corners leave a crisp arris. Both are shown in a live section as you configure.
Do I get a drawing before it is made?
Yes. Every configuration ends in a multi-sheet spec sheet — a dimensioned plan, a section through the pan, and construction details for the drain, the wall and the entry — for approval before fabrication.
What materials can a custom threshold be made from?
Custom thresholds are available in Corian® solid surface, made to order in your chosen length, width, edge profile and finish.
How do I measure for a threshold?
Measure the length jamb to jamb across the finished opening, and the width across the opening from floor edge to floor edge. The configurator accepts lengths from 4 to 144 inches to half-inch precision, with a live drawing to confirm your geometry.
What’s the difference between a threshold and a saddle?
A threshold caps the joint in a doorway between rooms or flooring types; a saddle is a threshold with a beveled top that bridges two floors at slightly different heights. Both are configured here — choose the edge profile and thickness to suit.
What material are custom vanity tops made from?
Solid surface — a non-porous, seamless material that resists stains and moisture, with an integrated backsplash and no grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
How do I measure for a vanity top?
Measure the cabinet run for length, the depth front to back, and note which sides meet a wall. Give the basin cutout size and position and the faucet spacing; the configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live drawing.
Can I choose the sink cutout and backsplash?
Yes. Pick the basin cutout shape, size and position, plus an integrated backsplash and side splashes wherever a wall occurs — all drawn live as you configure.
What are custom vanity tops and worktops made from?
Corian® solid surface — non-porous, repairable and made to order in your choice of sizes.
How do I measure for a worktop?
Measure the run for length, the depth front to back, and note which sides meet a wall. The configurator accepts each side up to 144 inches to half-inch precision, with a live drawing to confirm every dimension.
Is there a sink cutout?
No — worktops are a clean, continuous work surface with no sink cutout. If you need a basin, configure a Custom Vanity Top instead.
What are ramping sinks made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout, so the sloped floor cleans easily and drains completely. Made to order in your chosen color and finish.
How does the ramping floor work?
The basin floor is sloped toward the drain so water runs off instead of pooling. You choose the drain position — centered, or offset left or right — and the slope is drawn to suit.
How do I measure for a ramping sink?
Give the overall length and width, the basin depth, the drain position and the sink height. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live plan and section drawing.
Where are ramping sinks used?
Anywhere a seamless, self-draining basin matters — healthcare, labs, commercial washrooms and residential utility spaces — with a non-porous surface that stays easy to keep clean.
What are coved corner sinks made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
What does “coved corner” mean?
The inside corners of the basin are softly radiused rather than sharp, so there are no tight seams to trap water or grime — easy to wipe clean and hygienic.
How do I measure for a coved corner sink?
Give the overall length and width, the basin depth, the drain position and the sink height. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live plan and section drawing.
Where are coved corner sinks used?
Kitchens and utility spaces where a seamless, easy-clean basin matters — as well as commercial, healthcare and lab settings that need a non-porous surface.
What are formed sinks made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
What is a spherical bowl?
The basin is formed as a smooth, round bowl — like a section of a sphere — with no sharp corners, so it is easy to clean and water drains cleanly to the center.
How do I measure for a formed sink?
Give the basin diameter, the bowl depth and the sink height. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live plan and section drawing.
Where are formed sinks used?
Powder rooms, commercial washrooms and healthcare spaces — anywhere a clean, seamless round basin fits, with a non-porous surface that stays easy to keep clean.
What are round corner sinks made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
How is a round corner sink different from a coved corner sink?
Round corner sinks use a fuller corner radius and a shallow scooped floor, while coved corner sinks use a tighter cove radius. Both are seamless and easy to clean — it comes down to the look and basin depth you prefer.
How do I measure for a round corner sink?
Give the overall length and width, the basin depth, the drain position and the sink height. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live plan and section drawing.
Where are round corner sinks used?
Kitchens and utility spaces where a seamless, easy-clean basin matters — as well as commercial, healthcare and lab settings that need a non-porous surface.
What are scoop sinks made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
What makes a scoop sink different?
The basin floor is deeply scooped and channels water smoothly toward the drain, so nothing pools. It is a fully seamless bowl with a generous depth — ideal for washing large or awkward items.
How do I measure for a scoop sink?
Give the overall length and width, the basin depth, the drain position and the sink height. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live plan and section drawing.
Where are scoop sinks used?
Utility rooms, commercial kitchens, labs and healthcare spaces — anywhere a deep, seamless, self-draining basin matters, with a non-porous surface that stays easy to keep clean.
What are wall panels made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous, waterproof material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
How do the tongue-and-groove edges work?
Each panel edge can be flush, a tongue, or a groove. A tongue on one panel slots into the groove of the next, locking them together into a continuous surface with a concealed, waterproof joint.
How do I measure for wall panels?
Give the length and width each panel needs to cover, the panel thickness, and the edge treatment on each side. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live panel and joint drawing.
Where are solid-surface wall panels used?
Showers and wet walls, healthcare and lab environments, commercial washrooms and feature walls — anywhere a seamless, waterproof, easy-clean surface matters.
What materials can corner molding be made from?
Corian® solid surface, milled to order in your chosen length and profile.
How do I measure for corner molding?
Give the finished length, the width of the face and the thickness of the stock. The configurator accepts lengths from 12 to 144 inches to half-inch precision, with a live drawing to confirm the section.
How thick can the molding be?
Thickness is offered from 1/2 inch up to 3 inches, so the section can range from a slim trim to a substantial architectural profile.
What materials can a custom wall cap be made from?
Corian® solid surface, made to order in your chosen dimensions.
How do I measure for a wall cap?
Give the finished length and the width across the wall. The configurator accepts lengths from 6 to 144 inches, with a live cross-section drawing to confirm the section as you set the reveal, rise and thickness.
What are the reveal and rise?
The reveal (inlay) is the step where the head overhangs the stem, and the rise is how far the cap sits above the top of the wall — both are set to your detail with a live drawing.
What is a custom shower niche made from?
Corian® solid surface, made to order in your chosen dimensions.
What size can the niche be?
The finished opening runs from 5⅞ to 40 inches wide and 8 to 42 inches tall, set with a live drawing. The outer flange adds 1 inch on the sides and 1¼ inches top and bottom.
How deep is the niche?
Each niche recesses 3 inches into the wall behind the finished face — confirm your wall cavity can accept the 3-inch depth before ordering.
Can I add shelves?
Yes. One shelf is fixed at the bottom, with up to three more added above at heights you set from the niche floor. Shelves are finished smooth or with clam-shell fluted inlays.
What back profiles are available?
Rounded (softened cushion corners) or squared (sharp squared-off corners) — shown in a live A‑A section as you configure.
What are custom sinks made from?
Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.
