How the configurator, the quote and the order work — and what each of us is responsible for.
Last updated 27 September 2026
What this site is
Architects Corner lets you configure made-to-measure architectural components online and hand off a fabrication-ready specification. Using the configurators, saving a configuration or submitting a quote means you accept these terms.
Configurations and drawings
A configuration is a description of a piece: its dimensions, material, edge profile and options. The drawings and spec sheets the configurator produces are working documents for pricing and fabrication. They are ours to use for that purpose; the piece you order is yours.
Quotes
A submitted configuration is a request, not an order. We review it and come back with a firm quote, normally within one business day. A price shown or estimated before that review is indicative and can change once we have seen the drawing. A quote is valid for the period stated on it.
Dimensions are yours to confirm
Everything here is cut to the dimensions you give us. Before anything is fabricated we send drawings for approval, and your approval is what releases the work. Please check every dimension, which sides meet a wall, the edge profile and the material against your own site conditions. Once you approve a drawing, the piece is built to it.
Measure the opening yourself, or have it measured, before approving. We cannot verify site conditions from here, and a made-to-measure piece cut to an approved drawing cannot be re-cut larger.
Orders, changes and cancellation
An order is placed when you accept a quote and approve the drawings. Because every piece is cut to your dimensions, a change or cancellation is only possible until fabrication begins — tell us as soon as you can and we will say what is still possible. Made-to-measure items are not returnable for a change of mind.
Delivery
Finished work is crated and shipped nationwide. Lead times quoted are estimates in good faith and depend on the material, the shop’s schedule and the carrier. Please inspect your delivery on arrival and tell us about any transit damage straight away, with photographs, so we can deal with the carrier.
If something is wrong
If a piece does not match the drawing you approved, tell us and we will put it right. Solid surface is repairable in place, so many problems are resolved without replacing anything. Where a piece has to be remade, we remake it.
Your account
An account is required to submit a quote. Keep your password to yourself, give us accurate details, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. We may suspend an account that is being used to misuse the site.
Materials and appearance
We supply made-to-measure solid surface products. The trademark position on the sheet material, how color, pattern and finish are treated, batch variation, and what a screen can and cannot show you are all set out under Material, color and appearance in the Quote and Order Terms below.
The site itself
We keep the configurators and their drawings as accurate as we can, but the site is provided as it is. A rendering is a representation, not a guarantee of the finished appearance. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
The section below is the text you accept when you send a quote request through a configurator. Your acceptance is recorded against the version shown, with the date and the account that gave it.
Quote and Order Terms
Version 2026-09-27 · accepted when you send a quote request
Accepting these terms
Ticking the box when you send a quote request means you have read and accepted these Quote and Order Terms and the Privacy Policy. We record the date, the account that accepted, and the version of these terms in force at that moment. These terms apply to that request and to any order that follows from it.
A quote request is not an order
Sending a configuration asks us for a price. It does not place an order, commit you to buy, or commit us to supply. Any figure shown in the configurator before we have reviewed the drawing is indicative and may change.
We review the request and come back with a firm quote, normally within one business day. A quote is valid for the period stated on it. An order exists only when you accept a quote and approve the drawings we send.
Dimensions and site conditions are your responsibility
Every piece is cut to the dimensions you supply. Before fabrication we send drawings for approval, and your approval is what releases it for fabrication.
You are responsible for checking every dimension, which sides meet a wall, the edge profile, the material and the finish against your own site conditions, and for any measurement taken by you or by someone acting for you. We cannot inspect your site and we do not verify measurements we did not take.
A piece made correctly to an approved drawing is a correct piece, even if the drawing turns out not to suit the space.
Made-to-measure work cannot be returned
Because each piece is cut to your dimensions it has no resale value to anyone else. Made-to-measure items are not returnable or refundable for a change of mind, a change of specification after approval, or a measurement that proves wrong on site.
Changes and cancellations are possible only until fabrication begins. Tell us as soon as you can and we will say what is still possible; work already done may be chargeable.
Material, color and appearance
Corian® is a registered trademark of its manufacturer. Architects Corner supplies made-to-measure solid surface products and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the manufacturer of the sheet material.
Color, pattern and translucency vary between production batches, and no screen reproduces a finish exactly. Renderings and swatches shown online are representations, not a guarantee of finished appearance. If the color has to be right, ask us for a physical sample before you approve the drawing.
Seams, however carefully made, remain visible on close inspection in some finishes. Solid surface is repairable in place, so marks and scratches are normally sanded out rather than replaced.
Lead times and delivery
Lead times we quote are estimates given in good faith. They depend on material availability, the fabrication schedule and the carrier, and they are not guaranteed dates.
Inspect your delivery on arrival. Tell us about transit damage straight away, with photographs, so that we can take it up with the carrier. Installation is not included unless the quote says so in writing.
Limitation of liability
If a piece does not match the drawing you approved, tell us and we will put it right. Our responsibility for any claim, whatever its legal basis, is limited to repairing the piece, remaking it, or refunding what you paid for that piece — whichever we reasonably choose. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us for the piece the claim concerns.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. That includes, without limitation: installation, removal or re-installation costs; the cost of other trades; delay to a project; loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity; damage to other property; and any loss arising from work carried out on or around the piece by anyone other than us.
We are not responsible for the finished piece once it has been altered, cut, drilled or installed by anyone other than us, nor for failure caused by the substructure, cabinetry or fixings it is mounted on.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you; where a limitation is held unenforceable, the remainder stands.
What we do and do not warrant
We warrant that each piece is fabricated to the drawing you approved, in the material specified, to commercial fabrication tolerances.
Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we give no other warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose. Whether a specified material, thickness, profile or fixing method suits your application is your decision or your designer's, not ours. Manufacturer warranties on the sheet material, where they exist, pass to you and are the manufacturer's to honour.
How we use what you send us
We use your configuration, contact details and project information to price, draw, fabricate, deliver and support your work, and to keep the business records we are required to keep.
We also use them to tell you about our own products, finishes, services and offers, by email, phone or post, and to improve the configurators and understand what people are specifying. You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by writing to us.
Producing your work means sending drawings and dimensions to our fabrication partners, and your delivery address to the carrier. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We may show a finished piece in our gallery or portfolio without naming you or your address unless you agree to that separately. The Privacy Policy sets out the rest.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the quote you accept and the drawings you approve, are the whole agreement between us on their subject matter.
We may update these terms. The version in force when you submit a request is the version that governs it, and the version accepted is recorded with your submission.
