How to Measure Your Formed Sink

A few measurements define the basin. Send a photo with your rough numbers and we’ll confirm the drawing before anything is fabricated.

01

Diameter

Give the finished basin diameter — the opening measured across the top of the bowl.

02

Bowl Depth

Measure the basin depth from the rim down to the bottom of the spherical bowl.

03

Height

Measure the sink height so the rim and apron land at the right elevation on your counter or cabinet.

Questions

Custom Formed Sinks FAQ

What are formed sinks made from?

Solid surface — a seamless, non-porous material with no joints or grout lines, made to order in your chosen color and finish.

What is a spherical bowl?

The basin is formed as a smooth, round bowl — like a section of a sphere — with no sharp corners, so it is easy to clean and water drains cleanly to the center.

How do I measure for a formed sink?

Give the basin diameter, the bowl depth and the sink height. The configurator accepts your exact dimensions to half-inch precision with a live plan and section drawing.

Where are formed sinks used?

Powder rooms, commercial washrooms and healthcare spaces — anywhere a clean, seamless round basin fits, with a non-porous surface that stays easy to keep clean.

How precise are the finished dimensions?

Every formed sink is made to your exact dimensions, cut to machine accuracy.

Custom Formed Sinks & Seamless Integrated Basins

A formed sink is thermoformed from solid surface sheet and bonded into the deck, so the basin and the countertop are literally one piece. No rim, no clip, no silicone line — nothing to fail and nothing to clean around. Configure it online and receive a dimensioned, fabrication-ready spec sheet with a plan and a section, cut to machine accuracy.

Why seamless matters

An undermount basin, however well fitted, leaves a joint where the bowl meets the underside of the top. That joint holds sealant, and sealant discolors and eventually lets go. A seamless integrated sink has no such joint: the transition is bonded and sanded, so a cloth runs from the deck into the bowl without catching.

Thermoformed, not carved

Solid surface can be heated and formed, so the bowl is shaped from sheet rather than machined from a block. That is what keeps the wall thickness even and the radii soft.

Where it suits

Bathroom vanities, powder rooms and commercial washrooms — anywhere the basin is used constantly and cleaned constantly.

How to measure

Give the countertop dimensions, the basin position along the run and the drain location. The bowl is drawn into the top as one piece, so the two are specified together rather than bought separately. Send a photograph with the rough numbers and the drawing is confirmed before anything is cut.
